As I get ready to start life in the big city and start law school, I want to start looking the part. I have finally gotten to the point where I have a good handle on my make up and am beginning to understand my hair. Most importantly, I've realized that I'm the only one who sees the size tag on my clothes, and I'm learning to pick the best items for me. Help me get a new wardrobe and get rid of the worst things from the old!

I would not recommed the "Not Your Daughter's Jeans" they are horribly uncomfy. I tried on a pair once, the tummy tuck stuff in the front is bad. I really like the KUT jeans at Nordstrom, plus they are cheaper than those.
I think that wrap shirt with the tie would look great on you. Wrap shirts (and dresses) are so slimming. I love the pattern too, conservative yet cute.
You almost have the pants down. Almost. Look for a dark blue (something between those two colors), with back pockets (to break up the butt, you don't want it to look expansive), boot-cut, straight-leg. Straight leg is important, because any flare would look bad.
These are great hypotheticals! Very classy and colorful.
Hi, I came across your blog on the knot. What a great idea--I am also in a professional wear feild and I love to share my opinion-so here it is--The shirts are all cute-but I don't reccomend the 2nd one. There is no waist definition, so its likely to make you look bigger than you and shapeless. I always feel like I'm wearing a sack when I try those on-and its never a good feeling.
The 3 other shirts are great options for you. They have somewhat of a tie/bunching at the waist, right below the boobs, which is the smallest part, so they will make you look slimmer (which always makes me feel great).
Keep up the good work-this is fun!
I stumbled on to this site and I am so in love with your idea.
I am a short curvy girl, who doesn't really have the money to buy upscale items.
I do most of my shopping at Old Navy and Target.
One thing that I really think will help put your outfits together and give you a boost is your sassiness is the use of accessories. I noticed that people have mentioned this in older posts, but a fun necklaces or a pair of great earrings are usually always part of any great outfit. Now that's not to say that wearing a chunky necklaces with long dangling earrings is the ideal look - infact i would pick one stand out item and either nix the other or have a muted verision (ie: simple stud earrings paired with a fab colorful necklace).
